News: 3.81 Million Passangers Have Come To DR in 2022

The Dominican Republic has confirmed up to 3.81 million passengers during the first quarter of this 2022.
In January the data confirmed up to 1.3 million passengers who flew on a total of 28,781 flights.
Already in the month of February, there were 1,177,647 passengers transported, a figure that means three times the number of February 2021, which confirmed the best Dominican month for passenger traffic since the pandemic began.
There were 266 commercial airlines that flew to the country in the first quarter.
In this way, the statistics continue the trend that has meant a growth in tourism for the country during most of the pandemic, driven by the sanitary entry protocols, considered the least restrictive in the region.
Because of this, Dominican Republic have being refer as the most important touristic destination in the continent right now by the Worldwide Touristic Organization. Also, The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their data on Tuesday and announced that the Dominican Republic is currently at level one in relation to COVID-19.
Level one indicates a low level for coronavirus in the country, and that tourists can visit it ensuring they have up-to-date vaccines against Covid, following the requirements and recommendations to avoid contracting and spreading the disease.
Dominican Republic is on its way of breaking tourism records this year.
